Food Service News
Breakfast after the Bell
Beginning Oct. 1 we will be implementing our Breakfast After the Bell program, which aims to provide students with breakfast at a time when they are most ready for food. Students will still have the option to get breakfast before school starts, but for those that would prefer to eat later we will be delivering breakfast to the classroom after the start of school. Research has shown that students who eat breakfast regularly have better focus and perform better academically than those who do not.
The program is for students in grades K-5. Complete information and application form are available here
New! FD Meal Planner
We will be transitioning to a new portal for parents to access online menus, FD Meal Planner. Starting April 1 this system will take the place of our current web-based menu for your food service program. FD Meal Planner has much of the same functionality as our current online menus, but with more accurate nutritional information and more robust content. See complete details on this flyer.
Meatless Mondays
Fresh Picks is implementing a new initiative that will expand our available meal options for students. This initiative will provide meatless meal options on Mondays by adding some tasty, creative meal options to our current menu. Dishes with meat would still be offered on Mondays; we are just providing new meatless options. See complete details on this flyer.
