Dear Newmarket parents, caregivers, teachers, students, and community members,
As Thanksgiving approaches, I want to take a moment to express my sincere gratitude to you all. This time of year, I am reminded of what a special community we have in Newmarket. As a career educator I recognize the value that a strong community commitment to children can have on a school system. In Newmarket, we have a community that places a high value on our children, families that send their children to school ready to learn every day and educators who are committed to providing our kids with a high-quality learning experience.
Thank you to our community for supporting the schools. There is no better measure of the community’s support than in the 750 people who attended the Spaghetti Supper at NES on November 14th.
Thank you to our dedicated staff for their commitment to our students and for the hard work they put in every day. Please know that your efforts do not go unnoticed. Every student has a story to share about an adult in our schools that plays an important role in helping them achieve their goals.
Thank you to the students of Newmarket for your perseverance and commitment to your education. The NEASC team visiting at JSHS last week was extremely impressed with all the interactions they had with our students. From formal sharing of individual students' work to informal interactions throughout the school, the visiting team was very impressed with our kids.
While you are celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday, take a moment to appreciate all the ways that the Newmarket Community supports our kids and families.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
With Gratitude,
Todd Allen
Newmarket Superintendent of Schools
