Holiday Greetings

Dear Newmarket parents, guardians, teachers, students, and community members,

I would like to use my final communication of 2024 to wish everyone a great holiday break.

It is amazing how fast time flies. It seems like only yesterday we were wrapping up 2023 and ringing in 2024 with all of its potential. Here we are again on the eve of 2025 and I am struck with similar feelings of hope and promise.

As I have traveled about the school community this month I have been reminded over and over of why we in Newmarket should feel so optimistic about the new year. First, there is the passion and energy from our students and staff that comes through loud and clear. We see it daily in the classroom, on the performance stage, on the athletic field or in providing service to our community.

The Newmarket parent community is also remarkable. Whether it is advocating for our kids, fundraising to support school programs or just showing up at events to cheer, the parent community in Newmarket is amazing. Great schools are made in large part by the support of the community.

Finally, Newmarket is very fortunate to have elected officials who are committed to the success of the town and school district. I for one am very lucky to work with a School Board that is so student centered and future focused. The Board’s full support and commitment allow Newmarket students and educators to accomplish great things.

Have a wonderful holiday season and a Happy New Year!

Todd Allen, Newmarket Superintendent
